Mobile clinic providing care to hard-to-reach populations

The Tujenge Maisha Organization launched a mobile clinic on 6 December 2024 to provide critical maternal and child healthcare services in underserved areas. These clinics bring essential healthcare services directly to people who otherwise face barriers due to distance, cost, or lack of infrastructure. During its initial operation:

Key Achievement of the Initiative

1. Adults Served (Aged 24-80): 24 individuals received consultations and care, of which 5 were males and 19 were females.
2. Children’s Health: 143 children received Vitamin A supplementation and deworming treatment, which improved their nutrition and reduced their risk of parasitic infections.
3. Family planning education.
4. Four (4) people were screened for HIV
5. Three (3) people were diagnosed with Malaria
6. Human Resources: The clinic was supported by three skilled nurses and five dedicated helpers, ensuring efficient service delivery and community engagement.
